Who’s Murray

Who’s Murray, you ask?

Murray is a place to start. He came to me out of thin air one fine doodle, and has been in my work ever since. In him, my audience can find a playfulness that surpasses even the most scrupulous of formalist scrutiny.

Still, those who ask for style, or genre (if you will), I say: Pop Surrealism has taken centre stage in much of my recent work. I’m happy to say that my penchant for the mode has been borne over a long and wondrous Art Education, where I’ve explored the many facets and faces of our artistic-cultural histories.

From there, it’s just hard work and a perspective fulfilled by every stroke of a marker, brush, pen, or pencil–anything I can get my hands on. I have never been a fan of limiting myself, and I think the same can be said of my work and the passion I have for making it.
