The Beat – Jack Kerouac

The Beat - Jack Kerouac

This is another piece that I had originally done in my sketchbook.

The background is made up of typewritten sections of On The Road. I typed the words out on a 1936 Underwood typewriter- the paper is also from 1936.

Tidbit – the original copy of On the Road was written on a 120 foot scroll.

Jack Kerouac done in ink and marker.
